BY CHALLENGING HEIGHTS / DECEMBER 10, 2018
Challenging Heights, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, successfully rescued 42 children from situations of forced labour and exploitation. The children, many of whom were working in fishing, domestic work, and other forms of child labour, were immediately placed under the care of Challenging Heights.
Following their rescue, the children received medical attention, psychosocial support, and access to education and rehabilitation services to ensure their safe recovery and reintegration.
These rescue operations highlight the ongoing challenges of child trafficking in Ghana and the need for coordinated efforts between government agencies, civil society organisations, and communities. Challenging Heights remains committed to protecting vulnerable children and advocating for stronger measures to prevent child exploitation.
