Challenging Heights is on the frontlines, actively dismantling the interconnected cycles of child marriage and domestic violence. Our holistic strategy has created a shield of protection for over 4,300 individuals, empowering them to live with dignity and choice.
Our work is built on three core pillars:
- Prevention: Changing Minds and Social Norms We challenge the deeply entrenched attitudes that allow violence and child marriage to persist. Through major outreach campaigns in schools and communities, we have ignited dialogue among thousands of students, fostering a new generation that respects and champions the rights of children and women. A cornerstone of this work is our campaign to end corporal punishment, promoting positive discipline and creating safe, child-friendly spaces in homes and schools across the nation.
- Empowerment: We tackle the economic pressures that often drive families to desperate measures. In many communities, our vocational training programs serve as a direct counter-offensive to child marriage, equipping at-risk youth especially girls with the skills to build sustainable livelihoods and forge their own paths to independence.
- Intervention: Healing and Rebuilding For survivors, we offer a pathway to healing and reclaiming their futures. Our dedicated teams provide immediate and long-term support, including sensitive family mediation, professional counseling, and skills development. We stand with every survivor as they rebuild their confidence and find the strength to live free from violence and exploitation.
