Short-term Volunteer

Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer experience overseas? As a local, grassroots NGO in Ghana, the expertise and experience that volunteers bring can be enormously helpful in building our capacity.

Advocates programme

The 2-week long Advocates Programme at Challenging Heights is designed for people who are passionate about ending modern slavery. Through in-depth and hands-on learning experiences, participants will be equipped to become a global Advocate for Challenging Heights and the fight against modern slavery.

The programme combines time in the field with classroom discussions on various aspects of modern slavery. With first-hand experience, participants will be able to take the knowledge and join the global fight against modern slavery.

Guiding Values

Our guiding values for our volunteer programme are:

  • Prioritising the children’s well-being
  • Needs-led programming
  • Pride in our local staff
  • A truly meaningful experience for our visitors

If these values resonate with you, check out the possible volunteer positions we have a need for and fill out an interest form.

In line with our child protection policy, we require all short-term volunteers to provide a background check from their home country.
