Challenging Heights has shattered the chains of modern slavery for 2,687 children and women, liberating them from forced labor and trafficking.
Our frontline work confronts the harshest forms of exploitation, from children forced to work in the perilous fishing industries of Lake Volta to victims trapped in agriculture, mining, and forced prostitution across Ghana.
Rescue is only the beginning. At the Challenging Heights Rehabilitation Center (CHRC), the largest rehabilitation shelter for survivors of modern slavery in Ghana, we provide comprehensive aftercare to heal the deep wounds of slavery.
This includes critical healthcare, trauma-informed psychosocial support, and empowering education to unlock their future potential. Through sustained monitoring, we ensure each survivor is not just safe but truly thriving.
To stop this cycle for good, we fortify communities from within. By raising awareness and building the capacity of local authorities and child protection committees, we create a protective shield against traffickers, preventing the enslavement of future generations.
