Planting Hope, One Tree at a Time: Empowering Women and Greening Communities

Challenging Heights, through our 100 Weeks Women Empowerment Program, recently launched a tree-planting initiative across the Central Region of Ghana, engaging 600 women from 28 communities. Each participant is planting five seedlings, including coconut, cassia, teak, royal palm, and millitea at homes, schools, and community spaces.

This initiative goes beyond environmental restoration. It promotes cleaner air, sustainable food systems, climate resilience, and biodiversity protection, while empowering women as leaders in climate action and community development.

Aligned with Ghana’s national climate goals and global sustainability efforts, the project reflects our commitment to integrating environmental protection into our mission of child protection, education, and poverty alleviation.

By planting trees, we are planting hope, creating change, and nurturing a legacy of sustainability for current and future generations.
