Challenging Heights

Children trapped in trafficking and economic exploitation are identified and safely rescued through coordinated efforts with community members, local authorities, and child protection partners.

To date, the organization has facilitated the liberation of 6,849 children and women from exploitation across Ghana. Many of these cases involve children trafficked in the fishing industry on Lake Volta, as well as agriculture, mining, domestic labor, and forced prostitution.

Rescue operations prioritize the immediate safety and protection of young people while opening the door to long-term recovery, reintegration, and opportunity. By working closely with communities and authorities, Challenging Heights helps ensure that children removed from exploitation can begin rebuilding their lives in safe and supportive environments.
