So far in 2017, Challenging Heights has provided care and support for 128 children at the Hovde House rehabilitation shelter. Each of these children represents a life rescued from exploitation and given a chance to heal, learn, and rebuild their future in a safe environment.
At Hovde House, rescued children receive comprehensive services including medical care, psychosocial support, education, and recreational activities to help them recover from trauma. Social workers also engage families to prepare for safe and sustainable reintegration once the children complete their rehabilitation.
This milestone reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to protecting vulnerable children and ensuring their successful journey from rescue to recovery and reintegration.
