OUR APPROACH
One Framework, Three Stages
Our framework is built on a simple but powerful insight: ending exploitation is not a single act, but a continuum.
It begins with rescuing a child from immediate danger, continues through the long and patient work of
recovery and transformation, and extends outward into the communities
where prevention breaks the cycle for the next generation. Each stage reinforces the others,
and together they create lasting, generational change.

Rescue
Children trapped in trafficking and forced labour — including on Lake Volta — are identified and safely brought to our recovery centre. There, they receive immediate care, stability, and the holistic support they need to begin healing. Rescue is the first, urgent step toward restoring a child’s safety, dignity, and sense of possibility.
Transformation
Recovery does not happen overnight. Survivors receive long-term support through education, psychosocial care, mentorship, and vocational training, so they can rebuild confidence, independence, and hope for their futures. With the right opportunities and sustained support, young people reclaim their childhoods and begin to pursue their own aspirations.
Prevention
Lasting protection requires strong families and resilient communities. We work alongside families, community leaders, and local and national institutions to strengthen economic stability and child protection systems. When communities are empowered with knowledge, resources, and support, the cycles that lead to exploitation are interrupted for good — protecting not just one child, but an entire generation.

The Child
Every intervention begins with the individual child — their rescue, their recovery, and their right to a safe and dignified future.
The Family
We strengthen household economic stability and parenting capacity, so families can protect and provide for their children.
The Community
Through Child Rights Clubs, Community Child Protection Committees, and District Child Protection Committees, we build localized structures to keep children safe.
The Nation
We engage government, law enforcement, and policymakers to strengthen Ghana’s child protection framework at the national level.
