Challenging Heights concluded the month of April with a series of impactful activities to commemorate Blue Umbrella Day 2026, a global campaign held in collaboration with Family for Every Child and dedicated to raising awareness on sexual violence against boys.
As part of the campaign, the organization successfully conducted three targeted workshops and one radio advocacy programme, engaging students, community members, and government stakeholders.
The workshops created safe and interactive spaces for dialogue, focusing on increasing awareness, challenging harmful social norms, and equipping participants with the knowledge to recognize and respond to sexual violence against boys. Across all groups, participants demonstrated strong engagement, openness, and a willingness to continue these important conversations within their communities and institutions.
In addition, the radio advocacy programme extended the campaign’s reach, amplifying key messages on child protection and encouraging the public, especially boys, to speak up, report abuse, and support survivors.
These activities reflect Challenging Heights’ continued commitment to breaking the silence surrounding sexual violence against boys and strengthening systems that protect children.
As momentum grows, we remain dedicated to expanding awareness, fostering safe spaces, and working collaboratively to ensure that every child can grow, heal, and thrive.
