Climate Change and Environmental Protection

Challenging Heights has been actively engaged in addressing key environmental issues through research, advocacy, community-led initiatives and targeted interventions/support. Challenging Heights' environmental and climate change initiatives demonstrate the organization's commitment to safeguarding natural ecosystems while protecting vulnerable communities from exploitation. Through research, advocacy, community engagement, and targeted interventions, the organization continues to address the complex interconnections between and among environmental issues such as mining, water pollution, deforestation, etc. and its linkages to climate change, migration, and modern slavery, livelihoods, food security, health, social development.

We envision a future where Ghana’s natural ecosystems are protected, restored, and sustainably managed to support both biodiversity and community well-being. Through strategic environmental interventions, we are actively engaging in conservation, restoration, and advocacy to safeguard vital ecosystems while empowering communities to take ownership of their environmental future.
