Marine and Ocean Health Project....

Through the Marine and Ocean Health Project, we strive to reduce water pollution and enhance community awareness of sustainable environmental practices. Using media advocacy and public education, we tackle critical issues such as open defecation along coastal areas and improper waste disposal. Our radio station, Nyce FM, has been instrumental in these efforts, particularly in its collaboration with the Forestry Services Division to launch a sensitization campaign on deforestation. Reaching over 100,000 listeners, this campaign has educated communities on the importance of preserving natural habitats and has facilitated the distribution of tree seedlings to encourage reforestation. Challenging Heights organizes environmental dialogue series based on thematic areas. For example, in 2024, we organized the maiden marine dialogue-a forum that brings together all stakeholders in the fishing industry in Winneba and its neighbouring communities. The plan for 2025 is to scale up the marine and environmental dialogues to the national level.
