Climate Change and Environmental Protection

As part of our Ramsar Protection, Conservation, and Preservation initiative, we are committed to safeguarding Ghana’s wetlands by collaborating with government agencies, promoting public awareness, and enforcing environmental regulations. In 2022, we led the mobilization of community members against lithium mining in the Aboakyer Hunting Forests, Ayesu River, and the Winneba and Pomadze Ramsar sites. Through our media outlet, Nyce Media, we amplified local voices, ensuring national attention on the issue. This advocacy resulted in government assurances that no mining would occur in these protected areas, reinforcing our commitment to defending vital wetlands from destruction.
