The Pre-COP Conference.....
Being Participants at the just ended 3-days Pre-COP Conference organized by Changing Lives in Innovative Partnerships (CLIP) and its partners was insightful to us. At the conference, we engaged in various discussions on Climate Change Adaptation, Financing, and the intersectional effect of the change in climate on the welfare of children, women, and most especially small-holder farmers in Northern Ghana.
The event produced a communique out of inputs from participants to the government of Ghana and other stakeholders calling for the establishment of a Northern Climate Fund amongst others.
The youth-inclusive event held a climate innovation challenge that supported participating groups with some financial resources to start their innovations.
It was an honor to have joined in these engagements which has helped us contribute to these very topical issues and established great partnerships.
