Monitoring CCPC Activities in the North.....

At Challenging Heights, we are committed to empowering community leaders to own the combat against child labour, trafficking, and all other forms of modern day slavery. One of our key strategies to achieve this is the formation of Community Child Protection Committees (CCPCs).

Over the past week, our field team conducted visits to various communities in Central Gonja to monitor the activities of these CCPCs. This monitoring aimed to evaluate both the achievements and challenges faced by the committees in their efforts.

The feedback from the CCPCs indicates significant progress in safeguarding children's rights. Evidence of success includes increased school enrollment, increased awareness among community members, and the implementation of child-focused bylaws by some communities.  Challenging Heights and its partners remain committed to supporting and strengthening the capacity of CCPCs to address child protection issues at the community level.
