In celebration of World Environment Day 2025, Challenging Heights organized a vibrant and impactful beach clean-up exercise at Akosua Village, rallying the community around a shared mission—to protect our environment and take meaningful steps to #BeatPlasticPollution.

The event brought together an inspiring mix of children, youth, elders, staff, and partners, all eager to contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet. Armed with tools, gloves, and a deep sense of purpose, the community worked hand in hand to clear plastic waste and other pollutants from the shoreline. The atmosphere was electric—full of energy, teamwork, and a united drive for environmental justice.
We are proud to say that Akosua Village showed up with heart. Residents displayed a powerful commitment to environmental stewardship, proving once again that real change begins at the grassroots level.
