” Once upon a time, in the bustling halls of academia, there was a student whose journey was as remarkable as it was inspiring. That student, well, that's me – Desmond Ghunney.

My adventure began with my Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science. From day one, I immersed myself in the world of technology, eager to unravel its mysteries and conquer its challenges. Despite the rigorous curriculum and demanding coursework, I remained undeterred, driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

As the semesters passed, my dedication bore fruit, evident in my exceptional academic performance and the numerous accolades I received along the way. But that was just the beginning.

Fueled by a thirst for more, I set my sights on a top-up degree in Information and Communication Technology, specializing in Networking. With each lecture, each assignment, and each project, I delved deeper into the realm of technology, honing my skills and expanding my horizons.

Along the way, I faced challenges – late nights spent debugging code, moments of frustration when algorithms refused to cooperate – but I never wavered. Driven by passion and determination, I pressed on, eager to conquer new frontiers.

But my journey wasn't just about academics. It was about growth, both personal and professional. I seized every opportunity to showcase my talents – leading team projects, participating in extracurricular activities, and pursuing additional certifications. Each endeavor was a chance to prove myself, to push the boundaries of what I thought possible.

As I stand on the cusp of graduation, I look back on my journey with a sense of pride and accomplishment. From humble beginnings to academic excellence, from challenges overcome to successes achieved, my story is a testament to the power of perseverance and passion.

Despite facing trauma on the Volta Lake, he persevered and completed his diploma in computer science at Takoradi Technical University. The support of the research team during one of our workshops organized by the Mentorship department before his final research paper was instrumental in his academic success. With their guidance, Desmond excelled in his research paper with an outstanding grade.

Buoyed by his achievement, Desmond seamlessly transitioned to pursuing a degree in computer science. His dedication and hard work paid off as he completed his degree program. This accomplishment not only validated his capabilities but also opened up new opportunities for him.

Looking ahead, he is eager to continue his academic journey by enrolling in a master’s degree program this year.
