WASSCE PREPARATION FOR SHS 3 BENEFICIARIES

The mentorship team organized a three-day revision workshop for our SHS 3 beneficiaries preparing for their final exams. The workshop featured four top examiners who reviewed, evaluated, and discussed the dos and don'ts of the final examination with the students. They helped the students tackle challenging topics and solve past questions.

The first day began with breakfast and an introduction of the invited resource personnel. Mr. Enoch Justice Yeboah led the session on science, focusing on objective questions, shading answer sheets, and interpreting Abraham Lincoln's quote. He continued with integrated science content, solving multiple-choice questions, and working through past questions. Mr. Edward Yawson focused on mathematics, emphasizing some simple mathematical techniques always required by examiners and the importance of getting their worksheets and work to fetch them the required marks. He also stressed the importance of writing their index numbers clearly and audibly on their examination papers. He further taught the students how to use calculators effectively demonstrated the proper use of protractors to draw arcs and advised them to regularly solve past questions and related problems to better prepare them for the final examination.

After lunch, Mr. Eyison Mansfield conducted a session on the English language, covering essays, articles, formal letters, comprehension, and summary questions. He gave students past questions and assessed their answers to ensure they applied what he had taught them. The final day began with Mr. Yeboah marking the previous day's assignment and reviewing the questions with the students. Mr. Yawson reviewed the assignment given and addressed additional questions, highlighting important points to consider for the final exams. He concluded the session by assigning more practical questions for the students to work on when they returned to their schools.

Finally, Mr. Mansfield addressed students' struggles with summary sections, having them read passages aloud and providing clear explanations and examples. We express our sincere gratitude to these top examiners for taking time off their busy schedules to honor our invitation. We look forward to seeing all our beneficiaries come out with flying colors at the end of the examination.
