Capacity Building Training for Child Labour Unit Staff and Selected Labour Officers by Challenging Heights...

As part of strengthening our working relationship with stakeholders in the government sector, we undertook a capacity-building workshop in collaboration with the Child Labour Unit of Ghana.

The one-week workshop which begun on Monday, September 30, and ended on Friday, October 4 was for 20 staff of the Child Labour Unit and some selected labor officers from the Labour Department of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.

The officers that attended the workshop were trained in Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Collection and Analysis, Report Writing, Project Management, Proposal Writing, and Policy Influencing. It was an insightful training as we’ve had positive feedback from the trainees which shows that great collaborations between government and private stakeholders can positively contribute to the fight against child labour.

We look forward to organizing more of such workshops to ensure that our aim of combating child labour becomes a reality. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Child Labour Unit and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations for  their participation.
