Challenging Heights Marks Global Kinship Care Week with Community Workshops....
We joined the first-ever #GlobalKinshipCareWeek by organizing a series of workshops for caregivers, government officials, and children.
Around the globe, thousands of children who cannot be looked after by their parents often end up living with relatives or friends of the family. This is known as Kinship Care.
Approximately 1 in 10 children are living in Kinship Care, but it is poorly supported in many countries. Kinship carers are struggling. We need better policies, support systems, and recognition of Kinship Care and that is why we organized these workshops.
Today, we encourage you all to advocate for this campaign for better recognition – share our posts, learn about #KinshipCare, and talk to your community about it, thank you!
